The agreement places XRP logos on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium starting in the 2026 season and includes education programs, with annual value reported near $5 million
Ripple has entered a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Florida Athletics that will introduce prominent XRP branding at the University of Florida’s football home, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, commonly known as The Swamp. The partnership takes effect with the 2026 Florida football season and marks the company’s second significant move into college sports.
Under the terms, the XRP logo will appear prominently on the playing field. Reports indicate placement on each of the 25-yard lines. Branding will also extend to Florida Athletics’ digital properties and event signage, giving the cryptocurrency repeated exposure to one of college football’s largest and most engaged fan bases during home games and related activities.
Florida Athletics confirmed the arrangement will begin when the Gators open their 2026 campaign. The deal provides the athletic department with a new revenue source at a time when programs face rising costs tied to athlete revenue-sharing requirements.
The partnership reaches beyond stadium advertising. Ripple has committed to supporting financial and technology education initiatives for Florida student-athletes and the wider campus community. These programs will address both traditional finance topics and digital assets, aligning the sponsorship with longer-term university priorities around innovation and student development.
Although official financial terms remain undisclosed by the parties, multiple reports citing individuals familiar with the negotiations place the annual value of the sponsorship at as much as $5 million. That figure ranks among the higher field-logo arrangements currently seen in college athletics. By comparison, a previous single-season field placement by another sponsor had been valued far lower on a per-game basis.
The Florida agreement follows Ripple’s five-year jersey-patch sponsorship with the Kansas Jayhawks, announced earlier in the summer. Together the two deals expand the company’s presence across major college athletic programs.
Crypto firms have accelerated sports marketing efforts in recent years. Other examples include Circle’s principal partnership with Chelsea Football Club, Galaxy Digital’s AI and crypto arrangement with Texas Tech athletics, and ongoing deals involving exchanges such as Coinbase with the NBA and WNBA. The Florida Athletics partnership continues that broader pattern of using high-visibility sports platforms to increase mainstream recognition of digital assets while pairing brand exposure with educational outreach.
The arrangement arrives as NCAA rules have opened pathways for schools to monetize field space and jersey patches, helping offset new financial obligations under athlete compensation frameworks. For Florida Athletics, the multi-year structure offers predictable revenue alongside the educational programming Ripple will fund.
