StandX, the decentralized perpetual futures exchange founded by ex-Binance Futures head Aaron Gong, will forgo its planned native token after a strategic review. Eligible users will receive a one-time DUSD airdrop with no lockup, while trading shifts to reduce-only mode and full operations wind down by early 2027
StandX operated as a decentralized exchange focused on perpetual futures since launching its mainnet in November 2025. It attracted more than 237,000 users and recorded a peak total value locked above $200 million during its active period. The platform maintained a clean record, with no fund security incidents reported across its entire history.
Trading was accompanied by yield-bearing margin options, rewards for community market makers, and referral programs. Revenue generated through these features had already been returned to users in prior phases via structured incentive programs.
Following a review of its business model and prevailing market conditions, StandX announced it would not proceed with a token generation event or public listing. Instead, the team opted to distribute a one-time DUSD airdrop funded by remaining project revenue supplemented by additional contributions from the founding team.
The airdrop targets eligible participants based on activity levels, including pre-deposits, Alpha-phase participation, mainnet trading, market making, and referrals. Allocations undergo screening for Sybil attacks and wash trading, with the platform retaining the right to adjust or void rewards for suspicious accounts. The checker becomes available on October 26 at 00:00 UTC, claims open on November 1 at 00:00 UTC and close on December 31 at 08:00 UTC, and unclaimed amounts are forfeited. DUSD can be claimed using the same wallet addresses employed on BNB Chain or Solana.
Yield payments for DUSD, position, community maker, and referral commissions ended on October 15. New vault creation and deposits into existing vaults also ceased. Perpetual futures trading entered reduce-only mode on October 20, restricting users to reducing or closing positions without opening new ones or adding exposure.
New user registrations and DUSD minting stopped on the same date. Existing reserved options and deposits for margin top-ups remain available until expiry or later. All open positions are scheduled for automatic closure on January 15, 2027, at prevailing mark prices, with outstanding orders canceled and vaults settled based on final net asset values.
Users must transfer assets from their Perps Wallet to Cash Wallet by January 31, 2027, to enable on-chain withdrawals in DUSD. Those seeking USDT must submit redemption requests by that deadline, with processing expected to complete by February 7. Any unclaimed balances after the deadline remain the property of the wallet owners and can be recovered by contacting support.

StandX had maintained liquidity pools for DUSD on PancakeSwap and Raydium. Liquidity providers are advised to arrange exits before the withdrawal deadline. The platform confirmed that DUSD remains fully collateralized and yield-bearing, independent of any token launch.
Pre-market trading on an associated platform saw a sharp decline shortly after the announcement, though this did not affect core platform operations or user funds.
