Ondo Finance advances tokenized US stocks through DTCC collaboration while rebranding its equities platform, driving recent price gains for its native token amid technical tests at key resistance levels
Ondo Finance launched the first tokenized stock representations based on DTC tokenized entitlements generated through the DTCC Tokenization Service. This development integrates with the infrastructure used for clearing and settling the vast majority of US securities transactions.
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation processed around 4.7 quadrillion dollars in securities during 2025. Ondo joins participants including BlackRock, J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Nasdaq, and the New York Stock Exchange in this initiative.
Ondo Finance renamed its equities platform from Ondo Global Markets to Ondo Stocks. The change signals commitment to expanding on-chain access to US equities and broadening blockchain-based financial services.
Plans include continuous trading features and new investment avenues in sectors such as artificial intelligence and robotics. The platform aims to increase liquidity in on-chain markets and connect conventional finance with decentralized systems.
ONDO recorded gains of 5% to over 18% in response to the developments. Trading volume increased notably, with reports citing rises up to 51.7% in some sessions. The token moved around the 0.33 to 0.37 dollar range before the surges, testing higher levels near 0.374 dollars.
Market data showed open interest in derivatives climbing over 50 million dollars to around 181 million dollars, indicating increased trader participation alongside the price movement.
Charts displayed a falling wedge pattern on daily timeframes, with price approaching the upper boundary. Analysts noted the pattern often precedes bullish reversals if resistance breaks with confirmation.
Key levels include resistance near 0.38 dollars aligned with the 200-day EMA in some analyses. Further upside targets mentioned by observers reach 0.45-0.48 dollars, with potential extension toward 0.50 dollars or higher zones like 0.70 dollars under sustained conditions.
Support areas sit near 0.34 dollars and lower at 0.30-0.31 dollars. Volume indicators and moving average alignments provided mixed but constructive signals in shorter timeframes during the moves.
The DTCC initiative represents part of ongoing work to bring traditional assets on-chain. Tokenized entitlements act as digital equivalents, supporting interoperability between established market systems and blockchain networks.
Nadine Chakar, Global Head of DTCC Digital Assets, described the launch as an early stage in rebuilding capital markets infrastructure during remarks at a related summit.
