Asset manager expands holdings during a short-term pullback, while regulated XRP funds record consistent daily capital inflows over two weeks
Bitwise Asset Management has added roughly $15.4 million worth of XRP to its holdings, extending a recent series of purchases even as the token’s short-term price momentum cooled. The transaction, tracked through on-chain data, occurred after XRP slipped back into negative territory following an earlier rally.
The latest acquisition took place while XRP traded near the $1.30 level, registering a decline of about 2 percent over the previous 24 hours. Speculative selling pressure appeared to outweigh institutional demand in the immediate term, pushing the asset out of its recent bullish range. Despite the pullback, XRP has retained the strongest monthly performance among major cryptocurrencies after a period of notable volatility.
Market participants have taken note of the timing. The purchase arrived after the token reversed from a brief upward move, underscoring continued interest from large investors even when prices retreated.
Existing XRP exchange-traded funds have recorded daily capital inflows across the past two weeks. This consistent pattern points to sustained demand for regulated exposure to the asset. Bitwise itself has reported growing interest in its XRP-related product, aligning with broader institutional activity across multiple providers.
The combination of ongoing ETF inflows and direct accumulation by asset managers suggests professional investors are positioning for longer-term exposure rather than reacting solely to short-term price swings.
Interest in XRP has remained elevated among both institutional and individual participants following the token’s earlier breakout. Asset managers continue to view the cryptocurrency as a component of diversified digital-asset portfolios. While speculative trading has introduced near-term pressure, the persistence of capital inflows into regulated vehicles indicates that larger investors are not deterred by the recent softening in price.
Traders are now monitoring whether the combination of ETF inflows and continued institutional buying can eventually counterbalance selling activity and support a stabilization around current levels. For the moment, XRP’s monthly gains remain the strongest in its peer group, even as daily price action stays mixed.
Bitwise’s repeated purchases have drawn attention as a visible signal of confidence from a major crypto-focused asset manager. The firm’s activity forms part of a wider pattern of accumulation that has accompanied the development of XRP investment products available to institutional clients.
