Prominent crypto investigator ZachXBT is preparing to limit assistance for scam victims based in certain countries as he develops a dedicated support website. The platform is expected to provide case reviews, recovery guidance, investigations and on-chain analysis. In a recent Telegram post, he identified several jurisdictions where he would automatically decline most inquiries due to repeated difficulties with local laws, regulations and law enforcement responses.

Ranked Jurisdictions and Planned Restrictions

ZachXBT listed Canada as the lowest-ranked jurisdiction for victims, followed by the UK, India and Nigeria. Morocco, Algeria and Bangladesh were grouped in the fifth position. He stated that contact from individuals in these locations would likely result in an automatic decline of the case. The forthcoming website is intended to formalize this approach by blocking access from what he described as low-quality countries, allowing him to focus resources on cases where progress appears more feasible.

The announcement generated significant negative reactions on Telegram, with more than 1,200 thumbs-down responses recorded. ZachXBT suggested that users from one of the named countries had employed bots to influence the reaction count on the post.

Specific Criticisms of India and Canada

In follow-up comments on X, ZachXBT detailed experiences that informed his ranking of India. He described instances in which Indian law enforcement contacted him seeking help to unfreeze funds that had been stolen, used official emails in attempts related to Lazarus Group assets, and arrested centralized exchange founders after mistaking a phishing site for a legitimate platform.

Regarding Canada, he called Toronto a global hotspot for fraud and accused authorities of failing to assist victims even when provided with comprehensive reports on threat actors involved in ransomware or related crimes. He referenced the TradeOgre matter, in which assets belonging to innocent users were seized because officials could not distinguish illicit from legitimate activity.

ZachXBT has built a reputation for independent on-chain investigations that often assist both victims and authorities in tracing stolen crypto assets. The new website is positioned as an expansion of those efforts, consolidating services that have previously been handled informally through public channels and direct outreach.
