MEXC has launched a five-season market education program as survey data shows more than half of its crypto users already hold stocks while knowledge shortfalls limit broader participation
MEXC, a multi-asset trading platform, officially introduced Opportunity Compass on September 8, 2026. The initiative is a structured global markets education effort built for crypto-native users as activity in traditional financial assets on digital platforms continues to expand.
The program operates under the guiding message “Know the Market, Know Your Opportunities.” It seeks to equip participants with a more systematic grasp of both traditional and crypto markets by drawing on perspectives from the wider financial and digital asset sectors.
Recent research conducted jointly by MEXC and CoinGecko reported that trading volumes for traditional financial assets on crypto exchanges totaled $1.45 trillion in the first half of 2026. That figure is nearly ten times the volume recorded for the whole of 2025. The data points to accelerating movement by crypto users into stocks, ETFs, commodities and related instruments.
MEXC’s own user survey reinforced the trend. It found that 53.7 percent of respondents have already invested in stocks. The result indicates that equity exposure has become a material part of activity for a majority of the surveyed crypto-native base.
Despite the rise in access, survey responses showed clear limits in market understanding. Among users who have never used stock investment products, 43.1 percent identified insufficient investment knowledge as a primary barrier. Of those who previously traded stocks but later stopped, 48.3 percent cited limited investment knowledge among the reasons for leaving.
Among users currently active in stocks, 44 percent said individual stock price movements shaped their participation, while 34 percent pointed to the AI boom as a key driver. The pattern suggests that much of the new equity activity is driven by short-term price signals and sector narratives rather than broader analytical frameworks.
Platform executives noted that access to a wider range of assets is growing faster than the corresponding level of market comprehension. As users move across stocks, ETFs, commodities and digital assets, many continue to develop the ability to interpret market cycles, industry trends, asset behavior and associated risks.
Opportunity Compass is presented as both an internal education series and a broader industry effort. Participating partners include xStocks by PAYWARD, Plume, Tether, Pyth, Optimism, CMT Digital and RootData. The group spans tokenization, stablecoins, data infrastructure and market intelligence.
The curriculum consists of five seasons totaling 30 episodes. Content progresses from foundational concepts to independent analysis:
Episodes will be released progressively from September through December 2026 via a dedicated Opportunity Compass education hub. The material is intended solely for educational purposes and does not constitute financial or investment advice.
Founded in 2018, MEXC operates as a multi-asset platform offering zero trading fees. It serves users in more than 170 markets and provides access to crypto, stocks, tokenized assets, derivatives and other TradFi-linked products through a single account. The education series extends the platform’s stated approach of reducing barriers while seeking to improve users’ capacity to interpret the opportunities that become available.
