Global NFT sales climbed to $75.54 million in the past week while transactions declined, with BNB Chain posting a more than tenfold increase to claim the top ranking ahead of Ethereum
NFT market activity produced higher dollar volume over the latest seven-day period even as the number of recorded transfers declined. Sales reached approximately $75.54 million, a 55.6 percent rise from roughly $48.55 million in the preceding week. Total transactions dropped 14.77 percent to 650,332, lifting the average value per transaction to about $116 from around $64 earlier.
Buyer addresses increased 20.38 percent to 273,655 and seller addresses rose 18.09 percent to 291,266. These figures count blockchain addresses rather than verified unique users. The rise in sales value occurred against a backdrop of broader cryptocurrency market volatility, with Bitcoin trading near $79,694 and Ethereum near $2,458 while total crypto market capitalization stood around $2.78 trillion. No direct causal connection between those price levels and NFT volume has been established.
BNB Chain moved into the leading position among blockchains with approximately $32.75 million in organic NFT sales, representing a 1,042 percent week-over-week gain. Buyer addresses on the network rose 30.84 percent to 22,132. Wash-trading volume registered only $8, leaving the combined figure essentially identical to the organic total. The scale of the increase accounted for most of the global advance, and collection-level data showed the activity distributed across the network rather than concentrated in a single project.
Ethereum ranked second with $18.94 million in organic sales, a 14.23 percent decline. Wash trading on the network fell 56.30 percent to about $742,249, producing a combined total of $19.68 million. Buyer addresses nevertheless increased 21.13 percent to 40,098, indicating continued interest alongside lower average trade sizes.
Polygon recorded $7.29 million in organic sales, up 6.12 percent, while also generating $18.73 million in wash trading for a combined volume of $26.02 million. The network posted the largest buyer-address total among major chains at 94,731, a 10.67 percent rise. Bitcoin followed with $5.87 million in sales, down 34.20 percent, though buyer addresses increased 28.95 percent to 13,103. Base advanced 36.59 percent to $4.23 million in organic sales, with wash trading of $4.80 million pushing the combined figure to $9.03 million and buyer addresses jumping 64.50 percent to 5,050. Solana completed the top six with $1.91 million in organic sales, up 9.99 percent, and 47,853 buyer addresses, a 24 percent increase.
Polygon-based Courtyard held the leading position among collections with $6.32 million in sales, a 7.50 percent increase that represented roughly 8.4 percent of global volume. The collection recorded 97,050 transactions, up 1.01 percent, while buyer addresses declined 7.63 percent to 17,766. Its relatively high transaction count indicated activity spread across a wider base than many other projects.
Base-based Beezie ranked second with $2.64 million, up 39.39 percent. Transactions rose 47.36 percent to 16,521, yet only nine buyer addresses and 240 seller addresses appeared, pointing to concentrated volume. Ethereum’s Argonauts placed third at $2.07 million despite a 63.54 percent drop in sales and a 72.74 percent fall in transactions to 3,068. CryptoPunks generated $1.86 million, down 9.92 percent, from 18 transactions. Blokyz recorded $1.48 million, a 19.56 percent decline, while Bored Ape Yacht Club rose 19.71 percent to $1.17 million on 63 transactions. Guild of Guardians Heroes closed the top seven with $981,850, up 2.64 percent.
The highest-value transaction of the period was a Bitcoin-based $REWD BRC-20 NFT that changed hands for 10 BTC, valued at approximately $796,863. A second Bitcoin asset from the $X@AI BRC-20 NFT collection sold for 5.1158 BTC, or about $394,346. CryptoPunks #1839 ranked third after trading for 161.5 ETH, roughly $394,320. Algebra Positions NFT-V2 #43 recorded the fourth-largest sale at 365,231.125 USDT, approximately $365,231. Algebra position tokens represent decentralized-exchange liquidity positions rather than conventional digital collectibles, and the data provider classifies both the BRC-20 transfers and the liquidity-position transfer as NFT sales even though their economic characteristics differ from profile-picture or art NFTs.
The week’s results combined higher overall sales value, fewer transactions, and a pronounced shift in network rankings driven by BNB Chain’s rapid advance. Collection activity remained mixed, with some projects showing broad participation and others displaying highly concentrated trading.
