A wallet connected to Andrew Tate sent 20,950 Hyperliquid tokens to the exchange, valued at approximately $1.87 million, as HYPE traded near $88
On-chain tracking data showed a wallet linked to Andrew Tate deposited 20,950 Hyperliquid tokens into Binance. The transfer, which occurred on October 2, carried a value of roughly $1.87 million at prevailing prices.
Hyperliquid, the platform behind the token, maintains a seven-day unstaking queue. This delay explains the timing of the deposit, which followed staking activity earlier in the week. The move placed the tokens into Binance’s custody, where they remain available for various uses without confirming an immediate sale.
The wallet’s involvement with Hyperliquid dates to late 2024. On November 29, 2024, the account acquired 122,826.9 HYPE tokens at an average price of $4.48 per token, for a total outlay of about $550,000. Within 48 hours, it sold 41,430 HYPE at roughly $7.25 per token, recovering more than half the initial cost and positioning the remainder for staking.
As of the latest tracking, the wallet held an additional 42,417 HYPE tokens, valued at approximately $3.7 million. Overall, the position now shows a profit of $7.24 million, representing a 1,317 percent return on the original investment.
Hyperliquid token traded near $88 following a 2.7 percent decline over the prior 24 hours. The token had moved between $87.71 and $90.93 in the preceding week, testing support levels around the mid-$80 range while facing resistance near $91 to $92.
Buyback activity by the Hyperliquid protocol provides a counterbalance. Protocol fees flow into an Assistance Fund, where eligible amounts convert into HYPE and are then permanently burned. On October 3, documentation indicated 14.58 million USDC awaiting transfer from the reserve-yield framework to support this mechanism. This source of demand operates independently of trading volume and scales with reserve balances, potentially increasing daily burn capacity by about 25 percent under current assumptions.
The platform generated $429 million in revenue as its token price approached recent highs. This positioned Hyperliquid as a leading revenue driver outside major stablecoin issuers. Analysts have noted the token’s valuation ties closely to trading activity, market share, and fee structures, with mechanisms like automated buybacks reinforcing long-term token scarcity.
The reserve-yield process, confirmed through receipt of the first AQAv2 payment, marks a shift toward more predictable funding for these operations. Pending USDC transfers of 14.58 million could bolster the Assistance Fund further, enhancing the protocol’s ability to repurchase and burn HYPE.

Andrew Tate has accumulated 107 liquidations on Hyperliquid perpetuals through mid-2026. In November 2025, his account lost more than $727,000 when bitcoin prices fell below $90,000. Additional episodes included a 40x long position on 57.36 bitcoin that cost $95,478 and multiple liquidations within single 24-hour periods.
Despite this record, the wallet’s HYPE strategy stands apart. The token represents one of the few assets he successfully held and profited from, with the current deposit forming part of a larger position now valued well above the November 2024 entry point. No direct quotations from Tate or platform officials appear in the tracking reports.
