Four YieldMax funds set new weekly payouts ranging from $0.0554 to $0.3392 per share, with mixed changes from the prior week and payment due Oct. 29
YieldMax disclosed updated weekly distribution amounts on Oct. 27 for several of its option-income exchange-traded funds. The announcements cover the YieldMax Magnificent 7 Fund of Option Income ETFs (YMAG),the YieldMax Universe Fund of Option Income ETFs (YMAX),YRAM, and the R2000 0DTE Covered Call Strategy ETF (RDTY). For each fund, Oct. 28 serves as both the ex-dividend date and the record date, with payment scheduled for Oct. 29.
YieldMax set YMAG’s weekly distribution at $0.0659 per share. The amount stands 13.97% lower than the prior week’s $0.0766 payout announced on Oct. 20. An earlier distribution of $0.0768 had been declared on Oct. 13.
As of the Oct. 26 close, YMAG’s distribution rate stood at 31.45%. That figure annualizes the latest payment against the fund’s most recent net asset value and does not represent total return. The fund’s 30-day SEC yield was 60.73% for the period ended Sept. 30; that measure captures net investment income and excludes option income.
YMAG primarily holds shares of seven other YieldMax ETFs that employ options strategies to generate income while providing indirect exposure to Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta Platforms, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Tesla. The options approach can limit participation in potential gains while leaving the fund exposed to losses. YieldMax stated that distributions are not guaranteed.
YRAM’s weekly distribution was set at $0.3392 per share, approximately 1.9% below the previous week’s $0.3458 amount. The fund’s distribution rate reached 40.21% as of the Oct. 26 close. Its 30-day SEC yield for the period ended Sept. 30 was 0.71%, a figure that excludes option income.
The actively managed ETF invests in memory and storage device companies and related funds. It sells call spreads on selected holdings to seek option income while maintaining direct equity exposure. Distributions may vary, fall to zero, or include income, capital gains, or return of capital.
YieldMax fixed YMAX’s weekly distribution at $0.0554 per share. The figure is $0.0009 lower than the $0.0563 distribution announced on Oct. 20. An earlier weekly payout for the fund had been $0.0594.
YMAX operates as a fund of option-income ETFs within the YieldMax lineup, seeking income through options strategies applied across a broader universe of underlying exposures.
RDTY’s weekly distribution increased to $0.2353 per share. The amount is $0.0021, or about 0.9%, higher than the prior week’s $0.2332 payment declared on Oct. 20.
As of the Oct. 26 close, RDTY’s distribution rate was 36.40%. The 30-day SEC yield for the period ended Sept. 30 stood at -0.77%, reflecting a measure that excludes option income.
The fund seeks option premiums by selling out-of-the-money call options on the Russell 2000 Index that expire on the same day. Distributions can vary or be zero and may include return of capital, which can reduce the fund’s net asset value and trading price.
All four funds share the same upcoming schedule: Oct. 28 as the ex-dividend and record date, followed by payment on Oct. 29. Distribution rates cited for the funds annualize a single payout against the latest net asset value and do not equate to total return. SEC yields cover net investment income over a 30-day period and exclude option-related income, producing figures that differ markedly from the distribution rates.
YieldMax’s option-based strategies across these products aim to generate income but can constrain upside participation and leave investors exposed to declines in the underlying assets or indexes. Distributions remain variable and are not assured from week to week.
