Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 network, has quickly achieved over 7 million daily transactions and billions in DEX volume shortly after launch, driven by a temporary gas fee subsidy and strong memecoin activity
Robinhood Chain processed more than 7 million transactions in a single day, moving ahead of Coinbase's Base network which recorded around 6.32 million. This milestone came less than two weeks after the mainnet launch on July 1. Data from analytics platforms like Growthepie confirms the network's quick rise in activity levels.
The network offers a 90-day gas fee coverage for eligible users on swaps, bridges, and perpetuals through the Robinhood Wallet. This arrangement reduces costs for participants and supports higher transaction counts during the initial period ending in late September. Protocol fees remain low as Robinhood absorbs these expenses for qualifying activity.
While the subsidy boosts immediate usage, network fees generated still reflect total processing costs, with portions covered by the operator or paid directly by users outside the wallet app. Activity spikes have aligned with periods of increased trading interest.
Memecoin trading has played a central role in the network's early volumes. Thousands of new tokens launch daily on associated platforms, with around 20 reaching market caps above $1 million. This segment has outpaced initial expectations focused on other asset types.
DEX volumes on the chain reached hundreds of millions in single days, placing it behind only major networks like Binance Smart Chain and Solana in some 24-hour periods. Uniswap deployments on Robinhood Chain saw notable spot activity.
Robinhood Chain supports tokenized equities trading available in over 120 countries, operating 24/7. Partnerships include Chainlink for oracle services across numerous assets, Uniswap for liquidity, Morpho for lending, and others for perpetuals and custody. Users hold stablecoins and tokenized stocks on the network, with balances reported at hundreds of millions in value.
More than 500,000 wallets hold ETH on the chain, and over $141 million in ETH has been bridged in the first week. The Arbitrum Orbit foundation connects it to broader Ethereum scaling efforts.

Bernstein analysts noted the chain's entry into the top five for DEX volume in its opening week. The network operates as a permissionless environment for builders while integrating financial services features. Early participation includes both retail flows and DeFi elements, with memecoins contributing significantly to initial momentum.
Broader Ethereum Layer 2 activity continues, with Robinhood Chain adding to overall ecosystem volumes. Its performance draws attention to scaling solutions and user acquisition strategies in decentralized trading.
The coming months will show how activity levels adjust as the subsidy period concludes. Robinhood's upcoming financial reports are expected to include initial mainnet data. The chain's structure positions it within established Ethereum infrastructure while pursuing expanded financial product offerings.
