Orbs, a provider of on-chain trading infrastructure, has invested in CRYMBO to support licensed financial institutions launching digital asset services under their own regulatory frameworks
Orbs, a provider of advanced trading infrastructure for on-chain finance, has invested in CRYMBO, a platform designed to enable licensed institutions to offer digital asset services in a compliant manner. The move aligns the companies’ technologies to address key challenges in bringing traditional financial businesses on-chain.
The transaction combines Orbs’ decentralized trading and execution capabilities with CRYMBO’s infrastructure for connecting institutions to compliance, custody, payments, and related services. Institutions can now integrate these offerings through a single platform while retaining control over their own licenses and operations.
Orbs’ Layer 3 network powers tools such as dSPOT for spot trading, dPERPS for perpetual futures, and dedicated execution services. These features deliver aggregated liquidity and advanced order types to decentralized exchanges, institutions, and autonomous agents. The company has executed more than $14 billion in trading volume to date.
CRYMBO’s platform connects licensed firms to more than 75 service providers covering custody, liquidity, banking rails, payments, identity verification, and transaction monitoring. Users can build customized workflows and choose their preferred providers. The system has already supported licensed institutions and has handled more than $2 billion in transaction volume.
Its infrastructure holds ISO 27001 certification and is structured to meet standards including the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation and the Financial Action Task Force’s Travel Rule requirements.
Orbs CEO Ran Hammer emphasized the need for specialized infrastructure tailored to regulated environments. He noted that while trading and execution form one foundation, the surrounding compliance and operational layers are essential for institutional participation in on-chain finance.
CRYMBO Founder and CEO Eyal Daskal described the investment as a sign of maturing technology. He pointed to the growing interest among traditional financial players in embracing on-chain opportunities.
The partnership reflects a broader shift in which trading infrastructure meets the operational demands of regulated entities. Institutions can now introduce digital asset products under their brands while navigating identity verification, settlement, reconciliation, and other requirements without disrupting their core operations.
Orbs’ decentralized approach and CRYMBO’s orchestration layer together form a complementary ecosystem. This setup allows licensed businesses to leverage blockchain liquidity and advanced trading while satisfying regulatory expectations through coordinated services.
