Abu Dhabi-based esports company NIP Group has agreed to purchase operational mining equipment rated at 4.47 exahashes per second, lifting its total capacity to approximately 13.85 EH/s and targeting 195 BTC in monthly production once fully deployed
NIP Group Inc., the Nasdaq-listed parent company of the esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Bitcoin mining machines already operating at hosted facilities. The deal covers equipment with a combined hashrate of 4.47 EH/s and carries a maximum value of $27.3 million.
In exchange for the hardware, NIP Group will issue up to 247.1 million Class A ordinary shares to the seller. The machines are pre-deployed, which means the company can begin generating additional Bitcoin immediately after the transaction closes, provided all customary conditions are satisfied. NIP Group anticipates closing the deal within 10 business days following approval.
The acquisition represents the third tranche of mining assets for NIP Group and its first expansion since 2025. Combined with prior purchases, it brings the company’s installed fleet to roughly 13.85 EH/s. At full deployment, management estimates the entire operation will produce about 195 BTC each month, exceeding the earlier target of 160 BTC monthly.
NIP Group launched its Bitcoin mining activities in July 2025 with an initial capacity of approximately 3.11 EH/s. By November 2025, the company had announced plans to scale to 11.3 EH/s through infrastructure investments. Further progress followed in January 2026, when the fleet reached 9.66 EH/s and cumulative output reached 151.4 BTC from September through November of the previous year.
Industry observers note that actual monthly production will vary based on Bitcoin network difficulty, global hashrate, and operational efficiency. The 195 BTC target assumes all acquired machines operate at peak levels and accounts for the company’s broader digital infrastructure strategy that includes potential applications in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
Founded as an esports operator, NIP Group has redirected resources toward cryptocurrency mining to generate revenue and support future growth. Co-CEO Hicham Chahine has described the mining expansion as part of a broader digital infrastructure plan that extends beyond gaming.
The company intends to accumulate Bitcoin while selectively selling portions to cover operating expenses and fund additional initiatives, including the DOJO fan token ecosystem and AI-related projects. By financing hardware acquisitions with equity rather than cash, NIP Group avoids immediate capital outlays but increases share dilution for existing shareholders.
| Transaction | Hashrate (EH/s) | Status |

NIP Group, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, maintains a strong esports presence through Ninjas in Pyjamas, which competes in titles such as Counter-Strike 2 and League of Legends. The company’s entry into Bitcoin mining in mid-2025 marked a deliberate pivot to leverage its computing infrastructure for diversified revenue streams.
Management views the expanded fleet as a foundation for potential entry into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing applications. Production figures remain estimates, as they depend on evolving network conditions, yet the company continues to position itself among publicly traded Bitcoin miners by computing capacity. The acquisition aligns with NIP Group’s ongoing efforts to balance esports heritage with emerging digital asset and technology investments.
