Robinhood Chain has seen explosive growth in trading activity just days after launch, with Uniswap volumes reaching new peaks driven by high user engagement and token activity
Robinhood Chain recorded over $560 million in daily DEX volume on July 8, marking a significant increase from previous days. This figure positioned the network as the second-largest Uniswap deployment, trailing only Ethereum mainnet. Daily active addresses neared 200,000, with more than 140,000 representing first-time users on the chain.
The surge included nearly 16,000 new tokens launched in a single day, and seven meme coins achieved market capitalizations above $1 million. Uniswap V3 WETH-pair volume on the chain reached $212.3 million during the peak period.
CASHCAT emerged as a central driver of the volume increase. The token, drawing from Robinhood's earlier branding, saw gains exceeding 1,000% in a short period, pushing its market capitalization past $100 million. This activity attracted traders and contributed to broader interest in other Robinhood-themed tokens.
Pump.fun added support for the chain, enabling seamless trading with SOL and reducing barriers for new participants. This integration coincided with heightened trading around popular tokens on the network.
Robinhood Chain operates as a permissionless Layer 2 built on Arbitrum Orbit technology. It supports Ethereum-compatible tools and focuses on tokenized real-world assets, including stock tokens for companies such as NVIDIA, Apple, and Google. The network features fast block times of around 100 milliseconds and initially waives gas fees for the first 90 days.
Integrations include Chainlink for oracles, Morpho and Ethena for lending markets offering yields around 7% APY with additional risk coverage, and full Uniswap support across multiple versions. TVL on the chain grew substantially, surpassing $106 million in the first week, with notable contributions from institutional deposits.
Uniswap founder Hayden Adams noted the chain's performance, stating it achieved more volume than any network except Ethereum mainnet on that day. The activity also contributed to gains in related tokens, including a 13% increase for ARB.
Robinhood's existing user base and platform assets provide a foundation for potential broader adoption. The chain combines elements for both asset tokenization and decentralized trading, drawing interest from various participant types.
| Network | 24h Uniswap Volume (Peak Period) |
|---|---|
| Ethereum Mainnet | Highest |
| Robinhood Chain | $500M+ |
| Base | Lower than Robinhood Chain |
This positioning reflects quick uptake following the mainnet launch on July 1. Cumulative trading volume crossed significant thresholds within the initial eight days of operation.
The network continues to see expansions in DeFi functionalities, with support for lending products and tokenized assets. Early data shows a mix of speculative trading and longer-term infrastructure use, as additional protocols and tools integrate with the chain.
