CASHCAT, a memecoin on the new Robinhood Chain, experienced rapid gains following a statement from CEO Vlad Tenev, reaching a market cap above $150 million before some pullback
CASHCAT launched on the Robinhood Chain shortly after its debut on July 1. Trading activity intensified after Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev posted on X about the chain's capabilities. The token climbed more than 1100% in a short period, moving from low levels to over $0.15 at peak. Market capitalization briefly exceeded $150 million before settling near $120-124 million.
Vlad Tenev stated that while the chain focused on real-world assets, it also worked well for memecoins. He followed the CASHCAT account on X. This post came days after the chain launch, which emphasized tokenized assets and on-chain finance.
The comment aligned with rising trading volumes. Uniswap data showed Robinhood Chain reaching second place in volumes after Ethereum, driven largely by memecoin trades. Pump.fun added support for tokens on the chain, reducing barriers for participants.
Several wallets achieved substantial returns. One address bought 17.5 million CASHCAT tokens for $86 and later realized hundreds of thousands in profit while holding more. Another turned roughly $800-$838 into over $1 million through timely buys and partial sells. Lookonchain tracked these positions, noting multiple early entrants among the top profit makers.
After the initial surge, CASHCAT saw profit-taking that brought prices lower from the peak near $0.15. It traded around $0.08-$0.11 in subsequent sessions with volatility typical of the segment. Liquidity remained concentrated in Uniswap V3 pools on the chain, alongside listings on MEXC, Hibt, PancakeSwap, and others.
Robinhood Chain itself gained attention for integrating with existing tools and supporting both asset types. The memecoin activity contributed to overall network metrics, though the token itself operates independently without official issuance from Robinhood.
Other tokens on the network, such as DIH and 4663, also saw elevated volumes during the period. Total DEX activity reached hundreds of millions in a single day. This occurred alongside the chain's original goals around tokenized equities and infrastructure.
