Node operators were advised to upgrade promptly to Zebra 5.0.0, with Zebra 4.5.3 serving as a fallback for those unable to update in time. The process concluded successfully, restoring full Orchard operations by early June 3.
During the upgrade window, several popular Zcash block explorers failed to display new blocks, leading to widespread speculation that the network had gone down. This stemmed from explorers relying on nodes that were still syncing or running outdated software versions.
